To the Sturgeon Community Hospital Foundation’s family, friends and supporters,
As you know, the Sturgeon Community Hospital Foundation has been helping people in need in our community for 28 years — thanks to you, our incredible donors.
However, we’ve never experienced a time quite like the one that we — as an organization, as a community, as a society — face today. That’s why, at this critical time, we’re asking for your continued support so that we can provide funding for equipment, supplies and other requirements that the frontline doctors and medical staff members at the Sturgeon Community hospital require as they do their utmost to fight COVID-19 in our community.
The Sturgeon Community Hospital Foundation is already doing what we can to contain the spread of the virus by following guidelines set out by Alberta Health Services (AHS).
To ensure the safety of our patients, healthcare workers, donors, and staff, we are working from home where possible and are available by phone, email and via social media channels. Staying engaged with our very generous community of donors and partners is even more critical at this time so we’ll be conducting more interactions over the phone and exploring new ways to connect and collaborate.
In the past 6 months alone, your generosity has equipped the Critical Care Unit at the Sturgeon Community Hospital with transport ventilators and bronchoscopes, which will play a vital role in treating the most critically ill COVID-19 patients.
What we are asking for now are contributions to emergency needs to support unexpected expenses that are sure to soar over the months ahead.
