Albertans have long proven that faced with difficult times we band together. The SCHF is asking the community to come together again now as we fight COVID-19 on the Front Lines. Donor Support is being relied upon to fund vital life-saving equipment that will see us through this crisis and carry us into a stronger future.
One current need is the funding of communication tools for patients. Your donation will fund the purchase of iPads to allow communication to happen more freely. In the interest of safety, the Sturgeon Community Hospital is limiting visitors and rigorously screening everyone that comes in. This means many patients are missing vital connection with their loved ones – connection that helps improve their morale and healing. Acquisition of iPads for patients will allow them to connect with their loved ones remotely, easing their loneliness and improving their mental wellbeing.
The COVID-19 pandemic has caused the dramatic need for additional equipment. Isolation carts, vital sign monitors, ECG machines and crash carts are just a few examples of the critical equipment needed.
