Donors Make the Difference in Winning the Fight

Now more than ever, your support of the Sturgeon Community Hospital Foundation is critical. COVID-19 has put unprecedented demands upon our healthcare system and your continued generosity is more important than ever.

While the government is making every effort to support the healthcare frontline, Foundations such as ours are being called upon to support these efforts and provide additional items that our hospitals need to fight this battle.

Will you help us ensure our staff and patients have the supplies and support they need by making a gift today?

Albertans have long proven that faced with difficult times we band together. The SCHF is asking the community to come together again now as we fight COVID-19 on the Front Lines. Donor Support is being relied upon to fund vital life-saving equipment that will see us through this crisis and carry us into a stronger future.

One current need is the funding of communication tools for patients. Your donation will fund the purchase of iPads to allow communication to happen more freely. In the interest of safety, the Sturgeon Community Hospital is limiting visitors and rigorously screening everyone that comes in. This means many patients are missing vital connection with their loved ones – connection that helps improve their morale and healing. Acquisition of iPads for patients will allow them to connect with their loved ones remotely, easing their loneliness and improving their mental wellbeing.

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused the dramatic need for additional equipment. Isolation carts, vital sign monitors, ECG machines and crash carts are just a few examples of the critical equipment needed.

Thank you for continuing to play a critical role in supporting the health of our community. With our shared commitment and compassion at this time, we will continue to be there for those who needs us most.
