For the month of March only, CanadaHelps.org will make a one-time extra $20 donation for every new monthly gift of $20 or more made to The Sturgeon Community Hospital Foundation using CanadaHelps.org.
The Giving Every Month (GEM) program in an integral part of the fundraising program at the SCHF and to the support the Foundation gives to the Hospital.
Past Board Chair, Dan Holman has been a GEM for a number of years. ‘The GEM program appealed to us as a family as it didn’t take a lot of decision on “what we can afford” to give to our hospital… Continuing to support our local hospital is an easy decision for us; our grandchildren were born at the Sturgeon Community Hospital, and we want to do our small part in ensuring the best possible care and equipment is available for them and us, when we need it.
If the SCHF can secure 50 new MONTHLY donors (at only $20 per month or more each) during the month of March, the funds will go towards transforming the Sturgeon ER waiting room for the care and comfort of patients waiting for assessment.
Making it Monthly makes it easy. ‘Too often when faced with an annual donation decision we allow our environment to steer our decision-making process and in uncertain times, a larger one-time donation to a specific project or piece of equipment may not be feasible. This program allows us to continually give each month allowing the foundation to utilize the funds as they see need throughout the year.’
