20th Annual Heritage Golf Classic a great success

We were so glad to be able to be get back together in person for the 20th Annual Heritage Golf Classic! The sun shone down on the beautiful Glendale Golf & Country Club on Thursday 26th August as 144 golfers teed off at the charity tournament presented by Landrex.

The sold-out tournament raised $126,000 to support two extremely important charities in our community – The Sturgeon Community Hospital Foundation and the St. Albert Community Foundation. Together our Foundations continually strive to enhance the lives of people in our community and all proceeds from this event go towards helping us reach those goals.

“Yet again, the Heritage Golf Classic in support of the Sturgeon Community Hospital Foundation and the St. Albert Community Foundation was a resounding success,” said Scott Olivieri, Chair of the Sturgeon Community Hospital Board. “We had great weather and an even better group of golfers come out and enjoy all that the Glendale Golf and Country Club had to offer.  Despite the challenges we have all faced over the past 18 months, the generosity was overwhelming and always has a significant impact on our fundraising efforts.

“Your unwavering support goes a long way, and we can only hope as we move forward, things start to go back to the normal we used to know.”

Thanks to our wonderful sponsors the day featured fantastic food, delicious cocktails and fabulous prizing out on the course. The Texas scramble was all in the name of charity but there was still some competitive spirit on the course thanks to the Live Scoring sponsored by SVAC and the winning team came in at 16 under par for the day!

Thank you to the sponsors, golfers, volunteers and committee members who made the Heritage Golf Classic such a success!
