Robert and June Haudenschild have made a Legacy Gift in their wills to the Sturgeon Community Hospital Foundation. (SCHF) A Legacy Gift (also referred to as planned gift) means that a donor contributes a major gift to an organization beyond their lifetime. So, unlike an annual gift (an outright gift made for current use), a Legacy Gift is for the future health of the organization.
Robert and June Haudenschild love the community of St Albert, having lived here since they were married 53 years ago. Bob and June still live on the land where she was raised overlooking the beautiful Sturgeon River. As long-time donors as well as volunteers at the Sturgeon Community Hospital, Bob and June have seen first-hand the exceptional care provided to them as well as their friends and family whenever they were in need. Because of this they recently made the decision to support the hospital by making a gift through their will.
“We feel good about this commitment to invest in our hospital’s future so that we have high-quality healthcare right in our community.”
The SCHF is grateful for the Haudenschilds’ extraordinary generosity. By planning to leave a legacy, they will greatly improve the quality of people’s lives in our community. What will your legacy be? Consider the SCHF in your estate plans — the decision you make today will ensure that your community hospital will thrive for generations to come.
